Round Dinner Plate with Splattered Glaze

Tanbayaki (Tanba Ware) has an 800 year old tradition and is one of the six famous old kilns of Japan. The appeal of Tanbayaki lies in the beauty of its natural glaze and rustic design which reflects the surroundings in which it is made. 

Onishi Masafumi is a 4th generation potterist and uses all the knowledge and experience of his family’s work to create uniquely beautiful pieces with a distinct modern touch. In Japan his work is often shown at exhibitions and is used by chefs at high-end restaurants.
